What is Payflex?

Payflex offers the first truly free payment plan in South Africa. Check out with Payflex and choose to pay for your order in either 4 interest-free payments over 6 weeks (25% paid upfront) OR 3 interest-free payments over 3 paydays (33,33% paid upfront). Your goods are shipped immediately, and you incur no additional cost (zero fees, zero interest*).

Payflex is not a credit provider. Payflex provides interest and charge-free payment plans for low-value amounts over 6 weeks or over 3 paydays. This is commonly referred to in the industry as BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) services. If one does not meet the required instalment dates, penalties are incurred, but not in the form of interest.

* Default fees apply if you miss a payment.

How does it work?

If you qualify and dependant on the option you select, Payflex will charge your card as follows:

• Pay in 3: 3 interest-free payments over 3 paydays, where the first payment is due upfront  (33,33%) and the rest is split into 2 equal installments over your next two paydays.
• Pay in 4: 4 interest-free payments over 6 weeks, where the first payment is due upfront (25% paid) and the rest is split into 3 equal installments, paid every two weeks for 6 weeks.

1. Select “Payflex” at a checkout.
2. Enter your personal details – name, email, cellphone number, SA ID number
3. Confirm your cellphone number – Payflex will send you a one-time PIN via SMS
4. Payflex will complete an eligibility and visa credit check
5. Make your first payment with any VISA, Mastercard or American Express card
6. Set your Payflex password
7. Once your first payment has been made, we will begin processing your order. You will receive an email confirming your courier cost and final invoice

Note: If you are not approved for a Payflex account, you will be redirected back to the Leonelda Products site where you can choose a different payment method to complete your order.

What are the fees and interest charges?

Payflex does not charge fees or interest. You will pay the same order value split into four payments. 

What if I miss a Payflex payment?

For Pay In 4 Payment Plans:
Total penalty default fees charged shall be capped at R255.00 (including VAT), or 50% of the Purchase Price (including VAT).
Penalties are calculated as follows:
A R85.00 fee is charged the day after you default. Further default fees apply for every week that the unpaid amount remains outstanding. So, another R85.00 fee is charged on day 7 and day 14 of the default period. Default fees for late payment are capped at R255.00. For Pay in 3 Payment Plans:
Total penalty default fees charged shall be capped at R375 (including VAT).

Penalties are calculated as follows:
A R125.00 fee is charged the day after you default. Further default fees apply for every week that the unpaid amount remains outstanding. So, another R125.00 fee is charged on day 7 and day 14 of the default period. Default fees for late payment are capped at R375.00.

Do I qualify for Payflex?

To be eligible for Payflex you need to be 18 years or older with a South African ID number and Visa or Mastercard (debit, cheque and credit cards are all good). You will also need a good credit history.

How many Payflex orders can I have at the same time?

If it’s your first time using Payflex, you’ll only be allowed one order until your second scheduled payment has been paid. After that, you can place multiple orders, as long as you stay below your total spend limit.

How do I make installment payments on a Payflex spend plan?

Payflex will automatically deduct scheduled installments from the same card you used to make your first payment. If you want to pay your balance sooner, you can log in to your Payflex account to make early payments. 

When will my item be delivered if I pay with Payflex?

Payflex orders are prepared for delivery and sent out immediately as soon as we have received confirmation. Orders will be delivered by The Courier Guy within their standard delivery timeframes.

How do returns work?

If you want to return any items in your order, please send us an email to info@leoneldaproducts.com or simply call 082-447-3227. If the return is approved, we will issue the refund against your Payflex account.

Is it safe to use Payflex?
